2018 Annual Conference
The 2018 MOTA Conference is rapidly approaching and we hope you will join us for an exhilarating two days of learning, collaborating and networking with Minnesota's finest Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. This year’s theme will be “Occupations; All day Everyday.”
Our keynote speaker will leave you speechless and fired up to continue the extremely valuable work OT and OTAs complete every day, no matter the population of focus. We are fortunate to have John Kriesel, a survivor of a roadside bomb in Iraq while serving his country. He will share his story and discuss the impact occupational therapy had on his recovery but most importantly speak to the impact of attitude in overcoming any obstacle we are presented. He is a captivating speaker that offers humor, enthusiasm and inspiration that leaves the audience with a new optimistic view on life. We will also have our 2017 MOTA Communication Award Winner, Andrea Harrison

This venue received rave reviews last year so we are excited to return again this year. We will be offering a Saturday & Sunday format this year. Saturday will provide a day of full learning for all practice areas. Sunday will include institutes as well as the business meeting and awards. We are excited to offer a variety of topics throughout both days of conference. Please submit your proposals here: 2018 Call for Proposals. The deadline for submission is July 15, 2018.
We will once again offer the MOTA social event on Saturday evening, which provides a great opportunity to network with a variety of OTs and OTAs from various practice areas. Hors' d’oeuvres and music will be provided with a cash bar option. We look forward to seeing you on October 27th and 28th!
