Course Description: Categorizing your current evaluation methods with the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework: Domains and Process, Third Edition (OTPF-III) will be completed to strengthen your explanation of evaluation methods to key stakeholders. A review of the AOTA Occupational Profile and its link to occupation-based assessment will focus on meeting payer system requirements for identifying performance deficits and functional reporting which is required by the IMPACT Act. There will be time for hands-on exploration of various assessments. Expect to learn about current occupation-based evaluation methods that measure occupational functioning of the individual. Specific occupational based assessments included in the workshop are the Performance Assessment of Self-Care Skills (PASS), Executive Function Performance Test (EFPT), and updated Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills. All participants will receive information on where to find the free, open-access assessments for PASS and EFPT. You may want to bring a laptop or tablet for accessing materials online, however it is not required for participation.

1. Identify ways to share the distinct value of occupational therapy through your evaluations.
2. Articulate the role of the occupational profile in the evaluation process and access the AOTA Occupational Profile as a tool for compliance in evaluation coding.
3. Describe and identify assessments to measure occupational performance and functional cognition.
4. Practice administration and scoring of the Performance Assessment of Self-Care Skills (PASS), Executive Function Performance Test (EFPT), and updated Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills.
