Thank you to everyone who participated in OT Day at the Capitol. Whether it was meeting with legislators or sending them a letter, you actively participated in the advocacy process and made a difference. Your advocacy assisted in gaining a committee hearing in the Senate for the OT Licensure Compact, which is the next step in the advocacy process. We continue to advocate and work towards securing a committee hearing in the House of Representatives as of February 2024.
Please consider joining OT Day at the Capitol in 2025 on Wednesday, February 19th 2025.

Government Affairs Committee (GAC)

Did you Know???

MOTA has a very active Government Affairs Committee (GAC) made up of members from a variety of areas of practice who volunteer their time to monitor legislation to support occupational therapy practice and the accessibility of services to our clients. In conjunction with our lobbyist, the GAC works to coordinate federal, state, and local activities. The committee meets monthly and welcomes new members from all practice areas. Click here to see the agencies with whom GAC represents MOTA members.
